Helwan University continues its efforts to internationalize education by encouraging faculties to engage in international cooperation.

In light of Helwan University’s orientation toward the internationalization of educational programs, and in view of the University’s encouragement and support for faculties to implement joint programs with international universities,
and under the generous patronage of Prof. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the University,
and the leadership of Prof. Emad Abou El-Dahab, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research,
with the support and facilitation of the International Relations Office headed by Prof. Mohamed El-Shimy,
and under the supervision of Prof. Sherif Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts,
together with the participation of the Vice Deans of the Faculty and the Heads of the academic departments,
a series of joint workshops were held with representatives of the European University:
Prof. Jiré Emine Gözen, Vice President of the University for International Affairs
Prof. Simon Christian Mayer, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University
Prof. Jan Marius Haux, University Professor of Applied Arts
Ms. Lydia Buchholz, Member of the Higher Education Quality Management (HEQM) Team at the University
The workshops were also attended by Prof. Mohamed El-Shimy, Director of the International Relations Office at Helwan University,
along with the coordinators of the Digital Advertising Design Program,
the Animation and Digital Imaging Program,
and the Cinema and Television Arts Program,
as well as the faculty members involved in these programs.
The workshops took place over Tuesday and Wednesday, September 30 and October 1,
resulting in significant alignment between both parties’ visions regarding the three programs.
The visit also included a tour for the European University representatives to the various departments of the Faculty.
The visit was professionally and efficiently coordinated by the International Relations Office at the Faculty, affiliated with the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector, namely:
Assoc. Prof. Doaa El-Aidy, Assoc. Prof. Marwa Zakaria, Ms. Riham Saqr, Ms. Riham Ahmed Anwar, and Ms. Ahd Azzam.
